We are seeking a Credit Risk Manager to direct the daily operations of the Credit Risk Department including policies, practices and staff, while overseeing the portfolio credit risk management by performing routine analysis of the loan portfolio and acting when appropriate to protect the Credit Union from credit risk and loan losses. Primary assignments include Coaching Credit Risk Associates in working with delinquent member accounts and developing with solutions provide cross-training regarding job functions, product knowledge, and daily responsibilities.Develop methods and procedures to improve effectiveness, efficiency in response to member needs.Manage risk of loanVisa portfolio.Conduct portfolio risk analysis using FICO score migration and LTV valuation analysis, recommend changes to Lending Management based on findings and report Concentration Risk to Senior. Overseemonitor all delinquent accounts, foreclosures, bankruptcies, repossessions, and deceased accounts.Complete quarterly review of success of work-out loan program and report to Senior.Complete quarterly classification on all accounts 60 days delinquent, reporting back to management. Maintain department policies and procedures remaining up to date on rate changes, laws, compliance and NCUA regulations, ensuring staff are adhering to them.Read, interpret, review, and comply with all federal and state legislation pertaining to Credit Risk. Work both internally with Credit Union staff and outside vendors, ensuring we achieve success.Develop and execute an annual strategic plan for Credit Risk involving budgeting and establishing a vision for the department to achieve success. MIN QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of five 5 yrs experience college diploma also preferred.Underwriting Abilities -- proficient in all aspects of consumer underwriting standards a requirementCommunication Abilities -- strong in terms of both oral and written correspondence must be able to make effective group presentations with a focus on training staff regarding technical areas must provide clear and concise written communications essential for fraud identification and prevention. Expertise to remain calm in tense situations and be adept at handling conflict.Sales Abilities -- previous sales experience wanted with a experience in consumer lending products. Technical skills -- must possess strong current knowledge of Microsoft office suite software including Ms word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft excel with expertise to learn other software as needed. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft excel preferred.Analytical abilities -- collects and researches data, uses intuition and experience to compile and analyze data designs work flows and procedures as appropriate for department efficiency.Issue solving -- identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner gathers and analyzes details skillfully develops alternative solutions works well in group issue solving situations. People skills -- works well with diverse groups of people treats others with respect and dignity at all times focuses on solving conflict without hostility works towards achievement of mutual goals.Ethics -- works with integrity while maintaining confidentiality of CU records and sensitive details upholds the values of the organization in the course of work. Adaptability -- adapts to changes in the working atmosphere changes approach or method to best fit the situation.
